About

Hi, I’m Roo Nelo (rhymes with “hello”) and I’m a freelance artist and animator based in the US. My journey began in 2017 when I returned to art by teaching myself stop motion animation. At the time, it was a way for me to cope with my mental health as I could get lost in the process. Although I specialize in stop motion animation services, I also dabble in other mediums. On any day I could be doing anything from painting to wood carving or 2D animation to needle felting. While I'm still finding my voice as an artist, I'll always enjoy being a jack of all trades.I also run Lone Room Studio, which focuses on my larger indie art and animation projects. I'm currently developing the stop motion short film For the Moment as its first release.When I’m not creating, I’m often drinking coffee or tea while daydreaming of adopting a cat one day.If there's a project you think I'd be a good fit for, I'd love to hear about it!
